Nathaniel "Nate" Bernard

Nathaniel "Nate" Bernard is the Principal Attorney at Bernard Law. He received his Bachelor of Liberal Arts with a major in criminal justice at the University of Massachusetts Boston. After completing college, Nate obtained his Juris Doctor from the John Marshall Law School located in Chicago, Illinois. During his time at John Marshall, Nate competed in multiple trial advocacy competitions around the United States winning numerous awards.

After law school, Nate became a prosecutor working for the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. As a prosecutor Nate tried hundreds of cases including felonies, DUIs, other misdemeanors and jury trials. Nate has been exposed to both sides of the criminal justice system; Nate worked for about 3 years with the Law Offices of the Cook County Public Defender.

Nate is extremely passionate in protecting the civil rights of every person and will fight until justice is served. Nate has a well-rounded skill set and a unique perspective. He knows what the State needs to prove a person guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and how to riddle the State's case revealing reasonable doubt.
